RentingRadar ("we," "us," or "our") operates RentingRadar, accessible at app.rentingradar.com. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our service.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from your Google account. We do not receive or store your Google password.

Property Data: Information you enter about rental properties, comparable listings, financial calculations, and analysis notes is stored in your account to provide the service.

Usage Data: We may collect basic usage information such as pages visited and features used to improve the service.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide, maintain, and improve RentingRadar, including authenticating your account, storing your property data, and personalizing your experience. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase (Firestore). Each user's data is isolated and accessible only to that user's authenticated account. We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and Firebase security rules that restrict data access to authorized users.

4. Third-Party Services

RentingRadar uses the following third-party services:

Google Firebase: For authentication, data storage, and hosting. Google's privacy policy applies to their processing of data: policies.google.com/privacy

Google Places API: For address autocomplete functionality. Address queries are sent to Google's Places API. No personal information beyond the search query is shared.

Airbnb (via Chrome Extension): For Pro plan users, our Chrome extension may access publicly available listing data from Airbnb to populate comparable property analysis. We do not access your Airbnb account credentials.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

Your property data is retained as long as your account is active. You may delete individual properties at any time within the app. To request complete deletion of your account and all associated data, contact us at help@rentingradar.com.

6. Cookies and Local Storage

RentingRadar uses browser local storage to maintain your session and preferences (such as your signed-in state and selected plan). We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising cookies.

7. Children's Privacy

RentingRadar is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such information.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information at any time. You may also revoke RentingRadar's access to your Google account by visiting your Google Account permissions.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
