Privacy Policy

RentingRadar is operated by Summit Capital LLC, a Nevada limited liability company ("Summit Capital," "we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use RentingRadar at app.rentingradar.com and rentingradar.com, including the RentingRadar Chrome extension (together, the "service"), how we use and share it, and the choices you have.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information: If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from your Google account; we do not receive your Google password. If you sign up with an email address and password, your password is handled by Google Firebase Authentication and is never visible to us.

Property Data: Information you enter about rental properties, comparable listings, financial calculations, contacts, tasks, and analysis notes is stored in your account to provide the service.

Payment Information: When you subscribe to a paid plan, your payment is processed by our third-party payment processor, Stripe, Inc. We do not collect, store, or have access to your full credit card number, debit card number, or bank account details. Stripe collects and processes your payment information in accordance with its privacy policy. We receive only limited transaction information from Stripe, such as the last four digits of your card, card brand, billing country, transaction status, and subscription status, solely to display your account information and manage your subscription.

Messages: If you use the chat assistant on our sites or contact support, we store your messages and our replies so we can answer you and follow up.

Usage Data: We collect usage information such as pages visited, features used, browser type, and device information to improve the service and diagnose technical issues. Our analytics and advertising tools are described in Section 5.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to: provide, maintain, and improve RentingRadar; authenticate your account and manage your session; store and display your property data; process subscription payments through Stripe; send transactional emails related to your account or subscription (such as receipts, trial and renewal notices, and plan changes) and, if you have not opted out, product updates; answer your messages; understand how the service is used; and measure how well our advertising works.

3. No Sale of Personal Information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not rent or trade it to third parties for their own marketing. We share personal information only with the service providers listed in Section 4, to run RentingRadar and to measure our own advertising, or when required by law.

4. Service Providers

RentingRadar uses the following service providers, each of which has its own privacy practices:

Google Firebase and Google Cloud: For hosting, authentication, database storage, file storage, and server functions. Google Privacy Policy

Vercel: For hosting our API (for example, checkout, billing, and chat requests). Vercel Privacy Policy

Stripe, Inc.: For payment processing and subscription management. Your payment details are sent directly to Stripe and are never stored on our servers. Stripe Privacy Policy

Twilio SendGrid: For sending email. SendGrid receives your email address and the content of the emails we send you. Twilio Privacy Notice

Google Analytics and Google Ads: For understanding site usage and measuring our advertising. See Section 5.

Google Places API: For address autocomplete and mapping. Address queries are sent to Google's Places API. No personal information beyond the search query is shared.

Anthropic: For AI features, such as filling in property details when you import a listing and answering chat messages. The listing text or messages involved are sent to Anthropic's Claude API for processing. Anthropic Privacy Policy

Airbnb and listing sites (via Chrome Extension): When you start an import, our Chrome extension reads the listing page you choose, such as an Airbnb, AirDNA, or rental listing page, to populate your property analysis. We do not access your account credentials for those sites.

5. Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising

Local storage: RentingRadar uses your browser's local storage to keep you signed in and to remember preferences such as your theme, tutorial progress, and unsaved form drafts.

Shared .rentingradar.com cookie: We set a cookie named rr_user on the .rentingradar.com domain so rentingradar.com and app.rentingradar.com can show that you are signed in. It contains only your display name and profile photo URL. It contains no financial, password, or authentication data.

Google Analytics: Both of our sites use Google Analytics, which sets cookies to measure visits, pages viewed, and sign-ups across rentingradar.com and app.rentingradar.com.

Google Ads: Both of our sites use Google Ads conversion tracking, which uses cookies to tell us when a visit from one of our ads leads to a trial or a subscription. When you sign up or subscribe, we also give Google a hashed (one-way encoded) copy of your email address so Google can match that conversion to an ad click ("enhanced conversions").

How to opt out: You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, and manage ad personalization in Google My Ad Center. Blocking cookies does not stop the app from working, though you may need to sign in again.

6. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored using Google Firebase (Firestore and Cloud Storage). Each user's data is isolated and accessible only to that user's authenticated account. We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and Firebase security rules that restrict data access to authorized users.

Payment data is handled entirely by Stripe, which is PCI DSS Level 1 certified, the highest level of security certification in the payments industry. Your payment credentials never pass through or are stored on our servers.

7. Data Retention

We keep your account and property data as long as your account is open. If you cancel a paid subscription, we keep your data so it is there if you resubscribe, until you ask us to delete it. You may delete individual properties at any time within the app. We keep messages and email records as long as needed to support you and operate the service. Stripe keeps transaction records as required by law and its own retention policies, and Google keeps analytics and advertising data under its own retention policies.

8. Your Rights and Requests

You may: view and edit your property data directly within the app; manage your payment information and billing history through Manage Billing (the Stripe Customer Portal); revoke RentingRadar's access to your Google account in your Google Account permissions; and opt out of product emails using the unsubscribe link in any of them.

To request a copy of your personal information, a correction, or deletion of your account and data, email help@rentingradar.com. We will respond within 45 days, and we may ask you to confirm your identity first. When we delete your account, we delete your data from our systems, except records we must keep by law.

9. State Privacy Rights

Residents of Nevada (NRS Chapter 603A), California, Oregon, and other states with consumer privacy laws may have additional rights, such as the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to correct or delete it, and to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information. To make a request or ask a question about your rights, contact us at help@rentingradar.com. We will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.

10. Children's Privacy

RentingRadar is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that someone under 18 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it promptly.

11. International Data Transfers

Your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States, where our service infrastructure is hosted. By using RentingRadar, you consent to the transfer of your data to the United States. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes affecting how we handle payment data or share information with third parties, we will provide notice within the application.
